Wanna help me design a module/foot controller system?
So I’m thinking I’ll have a foot pedal enclosure with four (or however many) channels. The box should hook up to a dedicated module (with a multichannel connector; serial connector?) to provide its power and send CV back.
I’d like there to be two CV sources (each controlled by a pot) for each channel, and a footswitch to switch between the two. I’d like there also to be an expression pedal jack for each channel so that you can go variably between the two CVs chosen by the two pots.
And lastly, I’d like there to be an RG led indicator for each channel to show loosely which voltage you’re choosing.
I was thinking of taking some blocks from Shades, but it has a seemingly unnecessary audio op-amp, that maybe could be replaced by a TL op amp or something generally cheaper, or with more channels.
Can anybody supply a circuit block to switch an RG led? Or if you could think of a better indicator system, I’m all ears.
How does this idea generally sound? Does anybody have any ideas about features they’d like to see? Does anybody have any insight into how to do this easily, effectively, and cheaply?
